Our Studio

Kindermusik with Miss Lindsay & Friends is a unique early childhood music education studio in that we nurture the whole child while also providing the best music instruction available for young children and their families. We seek to establish a supportive class atmosphere where learning can flourish. More importantly, we strive to help children and families integrate the joy of music-making into their daily lives.

We are proud to be among the top four Kindermusik studios in the State of California and among the top 1.2% of Kindermusik studios worldwide. Our studio has been recognized for exceptional service by Kindermusik International, local parenting magazines, fellow educators, and most importantly, the families and children that participate in our programs.

What a child learns in our program is "so much more than just music!" as parents have told us. Children leave our program with self-confidence and social skills as well as a solid musical foundation, ready to succeed in music lessons, school, and whatever other challenges life offers them. At their best, our classes radiate pure joy, fun, and love. The learning happens naturally and is deeply ingrained.

Studio History

Kindermusik with Miss Lindsay & Friends was founded as a sole proprietorship in 2005 with a total of five students in three different classes.  As word spread, the program quickly grew, and by 2006, it had already earned "Maestro" status and become one of the top Kindermusik studios in California. We now offer 20 classes in five locations with a growing staff of highly qualified teachers and assistants.

Our Philosophy

Kindermusik's philosophy is founded upon rigorous research and our fundamental beliefs:

  • A parent or loving caregiver is a child's first and most important teacher.
  • All children are musical.
  • The home is the most important learning environment.
  • Music nurtures a child's cognitive, emotional, social, language, and physical development.
  • Children flourish in a child-centered environment where activities are developmentally appropriate.
  • Educators value the learning process - not the performance - of music making.
  • Every child should experience the joy, fun, and learning that music brings to life.
